How does the distribution of territory vary with the size, hardness, and size of randomly placed particles?
For point particles, the answer is known to be the Gamma distribution.
Over the years, scientists have assumed that this holds for E. Coli which exhibits a finite volume and is neither hard nor spherical. We plan to find out if this is indeed true.
