Project Description

  1. Development of high-speed Distributed Feedback (DFB) laser chips for optical communications, silicon photonics, and LiDAR applications
  2. Research on GaN HEMTs and MMICs for high-frequency power electronics
  3. Study of Light-Emitting Transistors (LETs) and Transistor Lasers (TLs) for optoelectronic integrated circuits (EPICs)
  4. Advancement of micro-LED technology for display and Visible Light Communication (VLC) applications
  5. Integration of silicon photonics and DFB lasers for Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) and spot size converters
  6. Development of high-power VCSELs for optical communications, facial recognition, and LiDAR systems
  7. Research on Single-Photon Avalanche Diodes (SPADs) for LiDAR and quantum applications
  8. Design and fabrication of high-frequency InP HBTs for millimeter-wave communication in 5G/6G applications

Requirement

Undergrads or graduates who have relevant knowledge in semiconductor physics, optoelectronics, or high-frequency device technologies, especially in areas like LiDAR, optical communications, and quantum technologies.
