Project Description

The project will involve organic synthesis and catalysis. The topic can be flexible and fit to the student’s interests, including (but not limited to) synthesis of graphene nanoribbon as nano-electronic materials, development of boron-based homologation method for automated organic synthesis, green catalysis methods to convert waste fatty acids into useful monomers, catalytic C-C bond activation, etc.

Requirement

The student should have strong interest in organic synthesis or catalysis with some basic level synthetic skills.
